Washington football adds San Jose State to 2033 schedule.

Washington has begun to build its football schedule seven years into the future. It will mark the 11th all-time meeting between the two teams and first since 2006, when Isaiah Stanback threw for 168 yards and a touchdown while adding 102 yards and another score on the ground in a 35-29 win.

Washington leads the all-time series 10-0. "We are excited to add the University of Washington from the Big Ten to our future non-conference schedule," said San Jose State athletic director Jeff Konya in a press release.

"Competing against premier programs in iconic venues like Husky Stadium provides a terrific test for our student-athletes and an exciting matchup for our alumni and fans." Washington is expected to also have five home games and four road games in Big Ten play that season, although opponents have not yet been announced by the conference.

The Huskies will be in their fourth season as a full-share member of the Big Ten by the time the game rolls around, as Washington and Oregon are due to receive a full share of the conference's media rights revenue beginning in the 2030-31 season. Washington received $46.7 million from the conference in 2024-25, compared to an average of $79.9 million to schools that received a full share, so the change will give the Huskies nearly double the amount of revenue and potentially change the tenor of the program by the time San Jose State comes to Seattle.
