Richard, who was having a tremendous drive featuring multiple big stiff arms, was being dragged down on the sideline before he was hit high and out of bounds on his own sideline.

After being tended to in the injury tent, Richard was brought to the locker room with both arms draped over trainers, not putting any weight on his right foot. It is unclear as of yet the extent of the injury.
Asked postgame about the severity of injury, Hoosiers coach Curt Cignetti only offered, "We'll find out." Richard seemed primed for a big night, gaining 68 yards on nine carries before his injury.
