To Rodgers’ point, after averaging more than 350 total yards through the first two weeks, the dual-threat Leavitt combined for 221 total yards in last Saturday’s Top 10 showdown in Oxford. That included 158 yards on 16-of-27 passing — his worst effort through the air since the former Arizona State QB managed just 82 passing yards in a 24-20 loss at Mississippi State in Week 2 of the 2025 season.
And while Leavitt’s scrambling ability certainly can create problems for opposing defenses, Pete Golding’s rebuilt Rebels defense mostly held him in check on the ground. Leavitt had a season-high 17 rush attempts for 63 yards — most coming in the second half — and a 4-yard third-quarter touchdown run.
