Clemson · North CarolinaClemson will start Tait Reyolds at QB in place of injured Christopher Vizzina. Abou Jaoude, who was listed as questionable, suffered a hand/wrist injury in North Carolina's opener against TCU , when he had four tackles and a sack.
He did not play in last week's game against East Tennessee State and was on the sideline with a cast on his left hand and arm. Vizzina, who suffered an elbow injury on his non-throwing arm vs. Georgia Southern last week, wasn't in full uniform Saturday after being downgraded to questionable on Friday night.
He didn't have his pads on for pregame warmups and was wearing a brace on the arm. Freshman Tait Reynolds will make his first career start for the Tigers.
He completed 16 of 27 passes for 178 yards and led five scoring drives after Vizzinia went down on Clemson's third drive of the game. Trent Pearman will serve as the backup.
