Two true freshman quarterbacks made their first career starts, and both led their teams back from double-digit deficits to win. Legend Glasker needed two snaps to swing BYU’s fortunes in the Cougars’ 41-23 win at Colorado State.
But Legend lived up to his name’s sake on the next play. The Cougars dialed up a play action shot, Glasker burnt his man along the left sideline, had his right arm pinned down, and still managed to haul in a one-handed basket catch for a 70-yarder.
LJ Martin punched it in from the 2 on the next snap, and the Cougars never trailed again. Glasker added a touchdown on a jet sweep before halftime.
